The Artist

Jacki graduated from Newcastle Upon Tyne with an upper class degree having specialised in Fine Art and Printmaking.

She was then sponsored to go to China and study Chinese Traditional Brushwork in Beijing, having the opportunity to travel to places such as Tiejing, The Great Wall and Guang Jhou. She gained a post graduate at Manchester Metropolitan in Art and IT.

Past exhibitions include the Grosvenor, Chester, Whitechapel Gallery and the RCA. She has also been a keen contributor and participator in the Barnaby Arts Festivals, Parades and community art projects. Projects include a Beach Sculpture activity for Radio 1, Environmental sculpture/storytelling activities for Hafan Y Mor and a banner project for 13 primary schools in Cheshire.

She is currently working as a Fine Artist and Printmaker and is Artist in Residence at The Print Mill, Macclesfield, Cheshire.

Jacki has recently created an installation 'En Nour. Drowned lands' for the Barnaby Art Festival and Visual Art Trail and has been working in collaboration with Si Oliver to explore film/video and animation further. She is exploring the medium of Virtual Drawing and Sculpture and has made a short animated piece using Google Tilt Brush with the aid of Jessica Symons from Manchester University and the artist Sumit Sakar.
